It’s that time of the week again, and that means another top 5 post. This week I’m going with the animal theme, so I want to know your top 5 animal characters. They could be animated, real-life animals from a documentary or TV show or fictional animals played by real animals, like Lassie.
I’ll kick things off…
- Red Dog from Red Dog
- King Julien from Madagascar (I like to move it, move it!)
- Winn Dixie from Because of Winn Dixie (one of the most gorgeous dogs I’ve ever seen!)
- McSquizzy from Open Season
- Dory from Finding Nemo
Drop your top five animal characters into the comments below!
1. Clyde the Orangutan from Clint Eastwood’s “Every Which Way But Loose”
2. Hooch the dog from “Turner and Hooch”
3. Jaws the shark from Jaws (I know it’s not a real Shark, but if you’re allowing animated animals I figure it’s okay. There was no way I was going to leave Freddy Krueger of the Ocean off the list)
4. Babe the pig from “Babe”
5. Brown Eyes the Cow from Buster Keaton’s “Go West”

I should mention that I used to be a movie checker (free movies in exchange for quality checking the prints at theaters). Bolt was one of my movies. I watched it 14 times in one day. I still liked it enough to buy it and see it again at home. I really LIKE animal movies. Also, loved all the dogs in UP! But I ran out of room. And Flicker from My Friend Flicker. Lassie from Lassie. Rin Tin Tin from Rin Tin Tin. Grey Friars Bobby. Every animal from every animal movie ever made, pretty much.

14 times in one day is a lot!! Surprised you weren’t sick of it come the end, sign of a good film I guess!
I liked Rhino the hamster in Bolt, so adorable
