Life: Back to Blogging!

Hello lovely people of WordPress! It’s been a long time since I’ve been here and actually posted anything, and if I had a pound for the amount of times I’ve done a post like this vowing to come back to blogging and then failed, I’d have a fair few quid. However, this time it is different, I promise.

You see, my time at university has finally drawn to a close. I have one more assignment to hand in towards the end of the month (which I’ve pretty much finished) and then that’s it, I will no longer be a student. Despite the fact that life is moving incredibly quickly, now that my coursework is over and I’ve finally finished producing and editing my latest short film, I now have enough time to justify getting back into writing.

Someone from Amazon recently contacted me and offered me a free VIP Prime Instant Video account, this includes regular emails with invites to press events and exclusive content for my blog as well as regular freebies in the post. Today they sent me the new Fire TV Stick, which is worth £35. To a lot of people that probably doesn’t sound like much but to me that’s one hell of a free gift, so I thought it’s about time I get back into writing and start making the most of these kinds of opportunities. Hence my review of the first episode of Outlander which I posted earlier. So you can expect to see more posts from me soon, most likely all relating to various Amazon TV series’, but I’ll be writing again all the same.

In February I applied for a graduate job, not particularly thinking I’d get it but wanting to get ahead and start practicing job hunting for the big bad world I’m about to be let loose in. It was a graduate scheme for a conveniently local company offering a generous starting salary and the opportunity to work across all of their departments during the two year scheme, with the promise of a management job at the end of it. The job sounded perfect, the company sounded perfect, I was so ridiculously excited thinking it was my ideal graduate job that I almost phoned them and begged for it before I’d even applied. About three weeks later I attended an interview, surprisingly not as nervous as I thought I would be, and a further three weeks after that I was offered the job, to my complete and utter disbelief. I didn’t think for one moment it would have been that easy to get my life sorted and have something lined up for when I finish uni but everything has fallen into place.

My soon-to-be apartment building!
My soon-to-be apartment building!

In just over a month I’ll be moving in to a lovely little flat in this amazing looking building with my other half and I couldn’t be more excited to start a new chapter together. I’ll finally be out of student accommodation and living with the man I want to spend the rest of my life with. Plus, we have a balcony!

So I am pleased to announce that I will be blogging regularly again, it’s been far too long.
