What (who) are your Top 5…Actresses?

2012121713557356681707103634

It’s Wednesday! So time for another top 5. Last week was actors (if you missed that, you can find it here) so this week I’m following the same theme and going for actresses.

I’ll get things started…

  • Jennifer Lawrence
  • Zooey Deschanel
  • Brit Marling
  • Kristen Wiig
  • Mila Kunis

I’d love to know who your top five actresses are, so drop them into the comments below!

  1. I wrote a Top 10 working actresses list for my blog (www.24fps.org.uk) recently, but I only ranked the Top 3, which were 3: Isabelle Huppert 2: Jessica Chastain and 1: Jennifer Jason Leigh.

Runners up were Laura Dern, Elle Fanning, Nina Hoss, Noomi Rapace, Kristin Scott-Thomas, Juno Temple and Kate Winslet

  2. I find this question really hard. Hollywood isn’t too good on the women, so even the good actresses have to accept loads of shit roles to get to the good stuff. Therefore, please take these five with a pinch of salt (top two are pretty strong though):

    1. Emma Stone
    2. Alyson Hannigan
    3. Angelina Jolie
    4. Jennifer Lawrence
    5. Noomi Rapace

      1. Adorable isn’t the word I would use. I think I hate her! I’m actually writing a piece about her, I think you’ll like it 😉

      1. No I haven’t. No Ellen show over here in Germany.

I love her since Veronica Mars.

Actually I would alter my list a little bit and add, right at the second place: Helen Bonham Carter.

I always forget her. But she is so brilliant. I recently watched Sweeney Todd and she was so great.

Jessica Alba, you drop out. Sorry for ya.

      2. I think it’s on Youtube, she was so funny! She cried because her boyfriend got a sloth to visit for her birthday xD
Yeah agreed, Helena Bonham Carter is a fab actress! Loved her in Sweeney Todd too 🙂

  3. I always struggle with this question, because I feel that Hollywood is still pretty shite towards female actresses. They all have to go through so many shit roles to get to the good stuff. However, here goes:

    1. Emma Stone
    2. Alyson Hannigan
    3. Angelina Jolie
    4. Noomi Rapace
    5. Jennifer Lawrence

    – Jennifer Lawrence

    – Natalie Portman

  5. Its a tough question, since — Hollywood being what it is — actresses are more often supporting roles than the leads, and so don’t get as much attention. But at least for an off-the-cuff answer, I think I can go with Angelina Jolie, Natalie Portman, Sigourney Weaver, Helen Mirren, and Goldie Hawn.

  6. I did a top five actresses post a while ago. If I remember correctly, I chose Amy Adams, Carey Mulligan, Jennifer Lawrence, Drew Barrymore & Grace Kelly. Yeah – those last two are a weird combo. The one that’s really starting to get on my nerves is Zooey Deschanel (sorry!). 🙂

  7. Cool list yo. At least you have a list, I couldn’t possibly think of how to put one together lol. The only person I can think I like in recent years is Jennifer Lawrence, she’s amazing.

    1. Great list 😀 Anna Paquin is a great choice, The Piano is one of my favourite films, and True Blood one of my favourite TV shows…it took me ages to realise it was her in The Piano! Great actress! 🙂
