  1. I don’t think I can actually label these 1-5 but here are five favorites : )

    Exorcist 3
    Prince of Darkness
    Bloody Bloody Bible Camp
    Return of the Living Dead
    Halloween 4

    : )

    1. I must say, I love that you included the supremely underrated Exorcist III and Prince of Darkness on your list. A few months back, I attended a play near downtown L.A. (to see a friend appearing) and it staged at the Union Center for the Arts. That would be the church location for Prince of Darkness.

      1. Yeah, I know a lot of people complain about The Last Exorcism’s ending, but it was very well executed, and constructed in spite of what people say. The story came full circle at the end. People were just expecting something else and as much as they say they want something new, they complain when you give it to them.

      2. Yeah agreed…I really enjoyed it 🙂 I get a bit tired of exorcism films, and out of all of them that’s the one I remember the most. The rest just tend to blend into one!

    1. Lol as if my film would make it in a top anything list xD
Nice list 😀 I really didn’t like The Thing for some reason :S the 80’s one that is.
Love Halloween, and of course American Werewolf 😀

      1. yeah, Pulse creeped me out and I find a scientific plausability to the concept – everything that man does has a consequense. Didn’t know they made a Pulse 3, must be a scy-fy channel original film, yuck.

  2. Good topic. 🙂 Am already planning on doing a list of horror films for Halloween this year. It’s not my favorite genre but that means I’d have to put more thought into it. Off the top of my head, though:

    The Omen
    Rosemary’s Baby
    A Nightmare On Elm Street
    The Shining

But I’m sure I’m missing loads. Definitely prefer old school 70s horror. Oh shit! I’ve not even thought of zombie movies! I almost see them as their own separate genre (I’m a huge fan of Romero’s zombie films, especially Dawn of the Dead). 🙂

    1. Great list 😀 I wasn’t keen on the omen but the others I love 🙂 apart from rosemary’s baby which I haven’t yet seen, but intend to xD I love 70s and 80s horror too!
Haha I do the same, zombie films tend to be their own genre all together!

  3. Not really a fan of horror movies, can’t sleep for days after watching one. But one that definitely freaked me out for a long time was Let the Right One In 😦

    1. The Company of Wolves? Really? As in the ’84 one? I thought that was terrible! that might just be me though xD or I might be thinking about something else! The one I’m thinking of was partly about little red riding hood….I think?
The others are great choices 😀 Love The Shining and Dawn of the Dead! Still need to see Carrie, it’s on my list of films I want to watch 🙂

    1. Well, yeah but narrowing it down to five seemed easier! And more inclusive for people who don’t watch lots of horror films xD
I just picked the first 5 that came to mind! Otherwise I could’ve written a list the length of…um…a giraffe? That sentence kind of just disappeared as I was thinking about it! But however long, it would have been boring as hell to read! 😛

  4. Hi Natasha, nice list, I would have Nightmare on Elm in my list too, but I always pic the usual suspects, so I’m going to skip that one, and Halloween, and Evil Dead… at this point, I’ve seen them too many times.
    1) Hellraiser
    2) From Beyond
    3) The Legend of Hell House
    4) The Shining
    5) The Mist

      1. Yeah same, I used to lover slashers when I first got into horror but not so much now, can’t stomach it XD haha
No I don’t think I have..will keep an eye out!

  5. Great question, and plenty of interesting top 5s. These are what I came up with, in no particular order:
    Psycho (1960)
    Videodrome (1983)
    The Shining (1980)
    Eraserhead (1977)
    Inferno (1980)

  6. Not in order but mine are:
    The Exorcist
    Prince of Darkness
    Pet Semetry
Phantasoms (dunno if that’s spelt correctly)

There my all time fave horror movies there plenty more but hay ho gotta love the Classics!!

  7. Not in any order except they are the ones I thought of first:
    The Exorcist
    The Thing
    American Werewolf in London
    Evil Dead
