Best Moment Award

best-moment-award

Well this was definitely unexpected, and I owe a huge thank you to Mike who nominated me, I won’t go all sentimental, I’m fragile enough right now and if I start I’ll be in tears, and you definitely don’t need that! Mike is one of the most versatile and talented bloggers that I read regularly, and a lovely, genuine person to boot. If you’ve not checked out his blog already then you probably should!

So here’s a run down of what the award is for:

Awarding the people who live in the moment,
The noble who write and capture the best in life,
The bold who reminded us what really mattered –
Savoring the experience of quality time.

As with all of these awards there are rules, and these are as follows:

Winners repost this completely with their acceptance speech. This speech may be written or video taped (vlogged)

Winners have the privilege of awarding the next recipients. The re-post should have a new set of people/blogs that are worthy of this award and then you have to tell the new folks that you’ve chosen.

I’m not very good at acceptance speeches…mainly because I’ve never had to make one! But I’ll give it my best shot…

I’m honoured and touched to have been nominated for this award. This past year has been huge for me and it’s changed my life drastically, and this little blog community that I’m lucky enough to have become a part of has had more of an impact than I ever imagined.
This blog was initially just for my university work, I was always one of those invisible people that just got on, I kept myself to myself and went virtually unnoticed, so the views, ‘likes’ and comments always surprise me. I never imagined anyone would be interested in what I had to say, but apparently they are, and that means a lot. Blogging makes me happy, and if I could do it for a living that would be amazing, but alas life is not that simple.
There’s something great about being able to talk to a group of people with similar interests, particularly when they’re people from so many different walks of life. The people I’ve ‘met’ through this blog community have become like friends in one way or another, and I’m very happy to be a part of it.

Now for the nominations! I feel as though I’m cheating slightly with my nominations, but I think the following three people are definitely deserving of it! Katie-Marie Lynch, Fiona Lockwood and Meera Darji are my crew behind Once Bitten, Twice Shy and when I flap and panic about it they’re always there to talk sense and make me realise I’m flapping for no reason! They’re also very talented media practitioners in their own right and very good friends. I think this award is definitely fitting for them…check out their blogs if you haven’t already 🙂
